Area E.1

Dead trees scatter across this area. A collection of old trunks lies reduced to exposed fiber and mycelium. Dusk settles as you approach a statue lodged in one of them. At its base you see the offerings. Half a dozen worms, each as long as a hand, are arranged in no discernible pattern. Each one is pierced with a long, sharp needle. Their bodies are stiff but preserved.
