E.1.4

Food ⇧

As you bite into the crawler’s tough flesh, your eyes go pale. You are inside the carcass: a dead body the size of a collapsed cathedral, full of crawlers eating through centuries of meat. They feed with purpose. They feed as memory. Their hunger enters you as instruction. Their infection, a language. Something boils in your stomach, and your body begins to tick to a rhythm older than you.
